The 'Eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho' tree-planting campaign and the Prime Minister's programme to plant 1 billion trees 'For a Green Vietnam' will see trees being planted in Dong Thap and Dong Nai provinces.
In response to the Prime Minister's call to plant one billion trees, CPV has implemented the project "CPV - Journey for a Green Vietnam" for 2021-2025, with the goal of planting 1.5 million trees in Vietnam with the budget is more than $1 million.
The project started by planting 500,000 trees at the company's factories and farms. It then spread to planting 1 million trees throughout many provinces and cities in Vietnam.
The company continues to expand the tree planting project in Dong Nai province with the goal of planting and taking care of 10 hectares of mangroves, and Dong Thap province will plant and take care of 115,799 ha mangrove apple trees in 107 riverbanks and canals at risk of landslides in 30 communes in the districts of Cao Lanh, Lap Vo, Lai Vung, Chau Thanh and Sa Dec city.
CPV granted a board to contribute 10ha of mangrove in 2023-2025 for the Tree Planting programme in Dong Nai province |
The project has helped to increase the amount of forest, prevent erosion, stabilise alluvial flats, boost infrastructure along rivers and canals, and better safeguard locals' lives and production.
It will also preserve the ecological environment, and enhance the quality of life for residents. Additionally, it will reduce the effects of climate change on Vietnam's cities and provinces.
