C.P. Vietnam receives an award from Tran Tuan Anh, member of the Politburo and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, and Vu Tan Cong, chairman of the VCCI |
The Sustainable Companies Vietnam 2022 award ceremony marked the third consecutive year that CPV had been listed in the top 10 most sustainable companies in the manufacturing category, with continuous efforts from members at all levels in production and business activities, as well as supporting the social community and promoting greater environmental protection.
Tran Tuan Anh, member of the Politburo and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, Vu Tan Cong, chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and leaders of ministries and agencies were on hand for the event.
Worawit Arunraksa, assistant vice president and manager of Corporate Sustainable Development at CPV, received the award.
“CPV is a Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) member and has accompanied the programme for seven years. The accolade demonstrates CPV’s efforts to become sustainable as a leading company in the vertical agro-industrial and food business with its feed-farm-food model,” said Arunraksa.
CPV also succeeds in applying criteria based on a corporate sustainability index (CSI) in producing, processing, and doing business, building business strategies to implement the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
CPV has determined the vision and orientation for sustainable development and is improving management capacity, establishing plans to respond to tough situations – not only ensuring safe production and meeting the needs of consumers but also creating the best sustainable development direction for the company.
The company said it would continue to make more efforts in this vein while complying with legal provisions on environmental protection, reasonable energy use, applying circular economic models, reducing carbon emissions, and balancing the ecosystem by planting 1.5 million trees across Vietnam.
CPV also cares about social benefits with a series of activities for the community, such as voluntary blood donation, medical examination and treatment and distribution of medicines for the poor, and a synergy house project.
The company has implemented positive policies to provide spiritual and material support to the people of central provinces in particular, especially areas severely damaged by natural disasters and floods.

The company said that being honoured at the ceremony was a great pride of the CPV team, and the achievement resulted from consistency in developing the business towards sustainability. The company will continue to strive for the sustainable development for itself and Vietnam.
Awards handed out at Sustainable Companies Vietnam 2022 were evaluated based on sustainable development criteria in areas such as the economy, environment, and society, as built by the VBCSD and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The CSI is built to measure an enterprise's value during production and business activities, as well as to record goals and manage changes to make business operations more sustainable.
On November 29, CPV was also honoured by VIR for its contributions to the sustainable development of the country. The award was handed over by leaders of VIR and the Ministry of Planning and Investment's (MPI) Department of Science, Education, and Natural Resources.
