C.P. Group ranks fourth among world's mega producers

In a recent report released by Genesus Inc on June 6, the top 50 largest pig breeding and pork producing companies in the world have been revealed. C.P. Foods, under Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group, ranks fourth with more than 1.1 million sows last year.

Operating in Vietnam for 30 years, C.P. Vietnam has eight factories producing animal and poultry feed. Located in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tien Giang, Bau Xeo, and Binh Phuoc, the factories produce a total capacity of more than 5.3 million tonnes of meat per year. Three factories in Dong Nai, Ben Tre, and Can Tho produce a total capacity of 550,000 tonnes of aqua feed per year.

In addition, C.P. Vietnam has two seafood processing factories in Hue and Ben Tre provinces, and four meat processing plants in Hanoi, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City.

The company works with Vietnamese farmers in both livestock and aquaculture using a modern agro-industrial model combined with feed production processes heavily focused on safety. These processes cover the kinds of input materials, breeding stock, animal feed, processing, and food distribution.

Every year, C.P. Vietnam delivers more than 6.8 million pigs to the market, more than 750 million eggs, and over 66 million broiler chickens, and exports over 20,000 tonnes of processed seafood to markets such as Australia, Japan, China, and Europe.
