The 500/220kV Nho Quan-Phu Ly-Thuong Tin transmission line project is funded by EVNNPT, and the Northern Power Projects Management Board (NPMB) is assigned with its management and operation.
The project is key to enhancing capacity in Ha Nam and Ninh Binh provinces, the southern regions of Hanoi, and the surrounding areas. The transmission line will also help to reduce power loss in the system, contributing to improving Vietnam Electricity and EVNNPT's efficiency.
The construction of the project was started in 2018 and is expected to be completed in December 2023.
EVNNPT has focused on speeding up progress, and the site clearance and handover have reached over 90 per cent. However, the remaining works are behind schedule due to land clearance delays.
At a recent meeting to review the implementation of the project, Bui Van Kien, deputy general director of EVNNPT, asked the NPMB to focus on solving the outstanding problems quickly and to hand over the entire transmission line’s route soon. This will allow the remaining column footings for the line to be poured and ensure the project’s progress.
Kien proposed that agencies and localities should continue supporting and coordinating with EVNNPT and its related units so that approval documents for the alignment of adjusted sections can be completed, along with the site clearance.
