"The Nexif Ratch Binh Dinh wind power plant project will be located in Canh Lien commune, Van Canh district, with a capacity of 150MW and an estimated total investment of almost $230 million. We will install a wind measurement column in the project's survey area to study the energy potential of the region," said Cyrill Dissescou, CEO of Nexif Ratch.
Dissescou expressed a desire for Binh Dinh provincial leadership to direct local authorities as they guide and support businesses in carrying out the project.
"The group hopes the province will facilitate the survey and installation of wind measurement columns to research and invest in wind power projects throughout the province," he said.

According to Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Binh Dinh Party Committee, the province has agreed on the installation of wind measurement columns and hopes that, in addition to energy projects, the hybrid firm from Singapore and Thailand will consider investing in several projects in other fields that align with the strengths and orientations of the corporation.
"The provincial people's committee has allowed for the installation of wind measurement columns to assess the wind potential for project investment research. The time frame for surveying, installing wind measurement columns, and evaluating the wind potential for investors is 18 months from the approved proposal," said Dung.
"Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade will lead and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, units, and localities to guide the company in completing all necessary procedures," added Dung.
The survey area will cover an area of 1,323 hectares with an average wind speed at a height of 100m of 6.69 m/s.
Funding is expected to be sourced 20 per cent from equity capital and 80 per cent from international loan capital. The project will connect to the Van Canh 110kV substation with a transmission line length of about 20km.
The proposed project area has many advantages with an intercommunal road passing through and is near Provincial Road DT638, and will provide clean energy for residents and neighbouring areas.
Furthermore, the project area is approximately 69km away from Quy Nhon Seaport, facilitating the import and transportation of oversize and overweight cargo during the construction phase.
