This latest move takes Tetra Pak's total investment in the site to over €217 million ($233 million). The investment forms part of the company’s long-standing plans to expand its production in Vietnam to accommodate increasing demand from the region.
Tetra Pak’s expansion plans for the Binh Duong facility will include an additional production line, which will be fully operational by the third quarter of 2025. With this expansion, the facility will have the capability to produce new and innovative packaging formats.
To manage this additional capacity, the Binh Duong facility will also be enhancing its workforce, creating additional opportunities for both current staff and people in surrounding communities.
Since opening, the Binh Duong manufacturing facility has rapidly become one of the most advanced factories in the region, playing a critical role in Vietnam and in the global supply chain for Tetra Pak. The expansion forms part of the company’s plans to position the market as a strategic growth engine for the region.
The upcoming changes will be implemented in accordance with Tetra Pak's dedication to environmental responsibility and corporate stewardship, ensuring sustainability standards are upheld throughout the process. The company has maintained close communication with relevant government bodies and local groups to ensure that the expansion adheres to Vietnam's regulatory framework.
Eliseo Barcas, managing director and president at Tetra Pak Vietnam, stated, “We are pleased to announce the next strategic growth plan at our Binh Duong site in Vietnam.
