SABECO community drive in Hanoi to deliver 600 gifts to workers

At the event, 600 gift sets were delivered to workers from companies and factories in surrounding localities. Each set worth VND700,000 ($30), including lucky money bags and some Lunar New Year essentials.

"Sharing Tet for a prosperous Year of the Dragon" is an effort of SABECO to keep continuing the meaningful programme that Bia Saigon carries out every year to spread Vietnamese culture in Tet holiday of sharing, and solidarity, together overcoming the difficulties of the old year and going ahead a prosperous and favourable new year," said Tran Kim Nga, member of SABECO's Board of Management.

The atmosphere of the event was one of high excitement. In one area, hundreds of workers, locals, and volunteers excitedly participated in taking check-in photos in locations decorated with Lunar New Year themes, sharing happy end-of-year moments with friends and family.

In another area, visitors enthusiastically learned of their fortune and luck for a better year ahead.

Some had the opportunity to experience an augmented reality game from Bia Saigon named 'Dragon Gem', in which players must hunt dragons to receive good fortune, signifying the overcoming of challenges from the old year to meet the new year afresh.

Nguyen Thuy Linh, representing the workers said, "We - workers always believe in the Party and government's policies in ensuring social security for all people. The support activities of SABECO and the HCYU today affirm that all society is joining hands to support us and ensure 'no one left behind'. We are really appreciative!"

The event was just a part of SABECO's corporate social responsibility programme for this year, which will feature a series of Lunar New Year gifting activities across 25 other provinces in Vietnam, including the distribution of more than 10,000 gifts to workers who have been affected by the economic slowdown, including fishermen and border guard forces.

The company has been consistently implementing various initiatives and community support programmes since 2020, channelling over $1.8 million to almost 28,000 beneficiaries across all provinces and cities in Vietnam.

The initiatives, ranging from essential gifts to lucky money envelopes and transport tickets, aim to ensure that workers and disadvantaged individuals can enjoy a warm and joyous Lunar New Year.
