P&G Vietnam, part of P&G – an American multinational with one of the strongest portfolios of leadership brands across a wide range of consumer product categories – has once again received the AmCham 2020 CSR Recognition Award from the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham). The award was presented in Hanoi by US Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink.
With unwavering efforts to touch and improve lives, P&G Vietnam's contributions are highly appreciated and recognised by the government and the community. |
The awards of this year are designed to raise awareness about CSR among AmCham members and the community and to provide recognition to companies with best-practice CSR programmes in the country, especially during the COVID-19 situation.
To qualify for the award, P&G Vietnam’s CSR programme received high marks in four categories: attention to business objectives and societal needs, creation of long-term economic and social gains, communication and the sharing of best practice, and programme sustainability.
This year P&G Vietnam marked its 25th anniversary in Vietnam with many significant CSR programmes in partnership with Vietnam Red Cross, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and Habitat for Humanity, among others.
Under the unprecedented circumstances of 2020, P&G stepped up efforts to help people and communities overcome the challenges of COVID-19, while providing clean drinking water to families affected by severe floods in Central Vietnam, building houses in the Mekong Delta, as well as presenting scholarships to students in Binh Duong for the 24th year straight.
P&G donated VND5 billion ($217,390) through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to support medical front-liners |
With unwavering efforts to touch and improve lives, P&G Vietnam's contributions are highly appreciated and recognised by the government and the community.
