Hanoi unveils digital app to connect citizens with government

The iHanoi digital citizen platform, unveiled on June 28, seeks to drive digital transformation, prioritising the human element. This application is a quick and convenient digital connection channel between the government, citizens, and enterprises in the capital. In this way, it plays a role in creating a favourable investment and business environment and enhancing satisfaction.

The application caters to citizens’ and businesses’ needs by providing utilities in diverse fields like transportation, healthcare, education, environment, urban planning, agriculture, tourism, and culture. The aim is to serve citizens and businesses in the best possible way, while creating a green, smart, and modern Hanoi.

The functions on the application are divided into four primary groups.

First, “Hanoi Connect” includes features that help citizens and businesses interact more easily and conveniently with government agencies.

Second, “Hanoi Life” is a group of smart urban utilities. This group of functions is divided into major themes, covering multiple areas related to people’s lives and business activities, including transportation, healthcare, education, environment, land use planning information, tourism (Hanoi Maps), cultural heritage, online payments (Hanoi Pay), agriculture, hotline directory, entertainment, Hanoi News (communication functions group), and an initiative and feedback functions group.

Third, “Hanoi Chat” provides online chat utilities, allowing citizens to interact with other citizens, enterprises, businesses and government agencies. The platform allows users to chat one on one, create chat groups, make video calls, send images, files, business cards, current location, and create surveys.

iHanoi also provides features for collecting initiatives to build capital. This is where citizens and businesses can suggest creative solutions to help the capital solve pressing issues, improve quality of life for its people, and facilitate business activities.

For citizens, this platform meets the need for information and resolves administrative procedures. For businesses, the app is a major step in the digital transformation process, improving access to public policies and services, and creating a foundation for business growth.

Users can easily download the iHanoi application on App Store or CH Play. It serves as a platform for both Hanoi locals and businesses, as well as individuals from other provinces and cities, including enthusiastic tourists wanting to explore Hanoi.

In the near future, the iHanoi application will continue to be improved. Updates are coming soon to utilities such as parking, pre-booking parking spots, online payment of parking fees, bus routes, electronic contact book, entrance exam lookup, electricity bill payments, and phone credit top-ups.
