After completing investment procedures, on July 10, a consortium of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, Sun Viet Telecommunications - Informatics Technology Development JSC, and VNPT Vinaphone Corporation was selected and signed a contract to provide infrastructure leasing services for the data centre.
The data centre infrastructure has been established by the contractor and the migration of several critical information systems to the new infrastructure has been completed.
Hanoi People's Committee has called for the launch ceremony to be dignified, modern, meaningful, practical, economical, and effective. Simultaneously, it should demonstrate the city's efforts and determination to build core IT infrastructure.
The centre has been designed and built on modern, synchronised, multi-layered secure private cloud computing technology, delivering high performance, safety, and flexibility.
The emergence of the main data centre marks a significant step in building IT infrastructure to successfully implement the city's comprehensive digital transformation programme, serving as a foundation for innovation and development for the capital and the country.
Additionally, it will promote, develop, connect, and exploit digital data to create new value in government operations, serving citizens and businesses.
Since 2022, despite the absence of normative documents on digital transformation, there has been a powerful shift in perception and action across all levels, sectors, agencies, and units in the city.
