This is the first Hanoi Autumn Festival held by the Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion. It features 150 booths along Dinh Tien Hoan, Le Thach, and Bat Giac streets, introducing special food, products, and tourist destinations.
The event attracted 14 cities and provinces to attend and showcase their specialities, including Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, and others.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, said that Hanoi is not only a place to preserve revolutionary historical values, but also a treasure trove of the unique cultural heritage of the Vietnamese people.

“With the goal of gradually developing tourism into a key economic industry, the city is promoting the potential and advantages of its landscapes and heritage to develop new tourism products,” he emphasised.
Featuring the colourful, cheerful, and extremely romantic space of Hanoi in autumn, the festival offers many activities and programmes, including street performances, dragon dancing, an ao dai performance, street music, drawing, and more.
As a part of the festival, Hanoi's cuisine is introduced with renowned foods such as pho, la vong grilled chopped fish, and bread. A space for international cuisine and contemporary dishes, and another to promote the city's Michelin-awarded culinary establishments, is also available for tourists to enjoy.
In addition, the festival features products from traditional craft villages, and an events industry and golf tourism development conference will also be held.
During the festival, there will be a carnival on October 1, including the participation of nearly 2,000 people from ethnic minorities.

Many famous brands are sponsoring the event, including Habeco, Masan (Chin-Su, Pho Story), Blue Zone, and others. It has also attracted the participation of the Vietnam Ao Dai Club, the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, the Vietnam Royal Chefs Association, the Vietnam Chefs Association, and the Nam Dinh Culinary Cultural Association, among many others.
The Hanoi Autumn Festival 2023 will be organised annually to contribute to the growth and development of the capital's tourism, in terms of both scale and service quality. It will ensure sustainability and the development of high-quality, branded tourism products imbued with national cultural identity, friendliness, and environmental protection.
