The workshop on December 12 aimed to accompany the city leaders to support local organisations and foreign-invested enterprises in approaching effective digital transformation solutions, turning IT into a competitive advantage, and preparing the platform to reach international level.
At the same time, technology experts from FPT IS and Dell Technologies help businesses shape their digital transformation roadmap according to the global technology trends, focusing on applying automation solutions in production, identifying goals, orientations and methods of IT application.

At the seminar Le Hoang Phuc, deputy director of IPA Danang, noted that businesses involved in foreign direct investment (FDI) play an important role in the production, export and job creation, contributing to supporting local businesses to participate in the global value chain and promoting economic restructuring towards modern industry.

“In addition to creating a dynamic and competitive investment environment, the city leaders always want to create the best conditions for such firms to develop business effectively," Phuc said. "This conference is expected to open up opportunities for extensive cooperation among parties in the manufacturing sector, being the stepping stone for expanding to other sectors such as tourism and services; creating an attractive investment environment, bringing outstanding growth to these enterprises."
Than Minh Ngoc, senior vice president and deputy director of Enterprise Sector at FPT IS, proposed many digital transformation approaches for enterprises.
Ngoc revealed that technology solutions from FPT IS are all based on the FPT Digital Kaizen methodology, which can be deployed in businesses of all scales by finding the most “irritating” points in the organisation, coming up with ideas, and deploying solutions immediately on a small scale. When results are obtained, they can be quickly replicated and expanded to remove other knots.
“With 30 years of experience in IT, understanding business problems in many fields, we are ready to accompany the organisation in implementing digital transformation strategies in accordance with global technology trends, focusing on automation solutions for manufacturing businesses, supporting the determination of goals, directions, and ways to apply technology,” Ngoc said.

In addition, Le Minh Quan, director of FPT IS' Digital Transformation Division, proposed suggestions for businesses in smartening production activities.
“We proposed akaMES - the first Vietnamese-made product to apply AI to real-time smart production accommodating. With diverse features, such as automatic planning and production adjusting, and an abnormality detection model, akaMES helps businesses with digital transformation in production activities comprehensively, creating a foundation for business breakthroughs,” said Quan.
In human resource management, Trieu Bui Sy Nhien, consulting director of FPT IS' Digital Enterprise Solutions, stressed the need for businesses to possess an effective human resource apparatus to operate sustainably.
“We have been developing a set of digital transformation solutions for the human resources industry called FPT.iHRP. The solution aims at comprehensive digital human resource management, with the ability to integrate and expand flexibly, helping to digitise more than 90 per cent of human resource processes, saving costs by more than 30 per cent, and increasing labour productivity by more than 30 per cent,” said Nhien.
