Foreign companies see Vietnam as a growing market |
According to statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam imported over $856 million of pesticides and raw materials during the first 11 months of 2018, while imported fertilisers also witnessed an increase to 989,000 tons and $283 million in the first quarter of 2019.
Bui Thi Thanh An, vice director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that agriculture is the spearhead sector of the Vietnamese economy as it is the main source of livelihood for more than 70 per cent of the Vietnamese population.
At present, Vietnam needs quality and environmentally friendly agricultural products to ensure sustainable development in the long-term. AgroChemEx Vietnam 2019 is expected to pave the ways for local and foreign investors to develop their businesses in Vietnam.
This biennial trade exhibition has grown significantly over the past years, making a major contribution to the continued growth of Vietnam’s fertiliser and pesticide industry in general. This year’s edition will also highlight a comprehensive picture of the market through a wide array of product designs and innovations.
During the event, participants can explore hundreds of high-quality products and the latest technical solutions covering all areas in the industry chain of pesticide and fertiliser production: raw material supply, formulation processing, packaging equipment, new-type fertilisers, water-soluble fertilisers, as well as crop production devices. Bringing together quality brands under one place, the show gives the latest insight into the industry, forges linkages among international and local enterprises, and even enhancing successful business co-operations.
Among the large number of highlighted activities over the three days of AgroChemEx Vietnam, a series of high-end workshops and seminars may be one of the most interesting and valuable additions in the 2019 edition. This part allows participants to join international market exchange, meet directly with leading experts and update latest market details.
In addition, a B2B Matching Programme was designed to expedite networking for exhibitors and importers, distributors, and suppliers, who have narrowed down their potential business partners in mind. It offers participants an opportunity to discuss new products and advanced technologies, exchange ideas, and reach potential buyers and suppliers in need.
