The Indian Consulate General paid a visit to Phu Yen to sample investment opportunities |
Consul General Madan Mohan Seth spent a working session with leaders of Phu Yen People’s Committee to study the local investment environment.
Tran Huu The, chairman of the People’s Committee, introduced the province's socioeconomic development as well as its potential and the advantages it has to offer for investors.
Huu The expressed hope that the consul general would become a bridge for bilateral relations between the two countries and between India and the province, as well as investors.
Phu Yen is currently home to 17 foreign projects, seven of which were invested by Indian enterprises with $192 million in total.
Huu The spoke highly of Indian investors, particularly KCB Technology and Invest Co., Ltd., which has an effective business and social welfare strategy.
In turn, Consul General Sethi highly appreciated the friendship between the two countries, saying that India has always considered Vietnam an important partner.
The Consul General said that since India has a renowned undergraduate education sector and well-developed technology, the country stands ready to welcome Phu Yen officials for short- and long-term training, adding that he will work to introduce the province’s culture and tourism potential to Indian people.
The two parties also discussed the province’s proposals to attract Indian investment in education, healthcare, culture, and tourism.
