Young Vietnamese people have witnessed and responded to many unique dance trends over the years, despite most of them being seen as a frivolous distraction. Many of these dances have reached hundreds of millions viewers on social media platforms, but this year's latest youth dance trend not only focuses on showing off one's dexterity, it also contains an important message.

Following World Water Day on March 22, clips of the 'Love Water, Act Green' dance challenge began trending online.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) had developed the idea after teaming up with local partner Thanh Giong Portal, and launched the dance on Facebook and TikTok in the hope that it would go viral and promote environmental protection.

The dance is inspired by flowing water, so it is simple and easy to perform, features vibrant background music, and is expected to become increasingly popular across Vietnam, perhaps even creating a new craze in the forthcoming months.

"Water is the key component for our products. Without water, there is no beer, so clean water solutions have been at the centre of our environmental, social, and governance journey," said Craig MacLean, managing director of AB InBev for Southeast Asia.

"Through this fun dance, AB InBev, in association with Budweiser, can help spread the message to preserve water and bring positive experiences to the community, consumers, and our partners in Vietnam," MacLean added.
