This event was part of World Water Day fell on March 22, focusing on the important role of water resources worldwide.
When water resources are scarce or polluted, and people do not have access to safe water, tensions can increase between communities and countries.
By working together to balance human rights and everyone's need for water, water can be a stabilising force and a catalyst for sustainable development.
By sharing a green, healthy lifestyle, and raising a sense of responsibility in using energy and water economically, each AB InBev employees understands that water is an essential resource and every person has the right to access and use clean, safe water.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, deputy director of Binh Duong Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that the department had developed a plan in 2018 to implement the national action plan for the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
“We would like to call on everyone to be conscious of protecting water sources, using water resources economically, maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful environment, and contributing to protecting and improving the health of the whole community," Thuy said.
Craig MacLean, managing director AB InBev SEA also discussed conserving and preserving water resources at AB InBev.
“For our company products, water is the key component. We know that without water, beer cannot be produced. Clean water solutions have also always been at the centre of our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) journey. With today's conference, we would like to thank Binh Duong Department of Natural Resources and Environment for accompanying AB InBev to spread the spirit of preserving clean water not only to AB InBev employees but to many individuals and organisations,” he said.

Clean water is currently one of the critical issues that needs to be resolved because clean water resources are increasingly lacking, especially in many localities where saltwater intrusion comes earlier and lasts longer, causing water shortages.
As a beer production company, AB InBev cherishes clean water sources because water is the most important ingredient in a large proportion of beer products.
With the effects of the El Nino in recent years, protecting clean water has become more significant than ever and has become a focus strategy of AB InBev's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) plan in Vietnam.
According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, El Nino will reach high intensity in the first three months of 2024, after that, the intensity will gradually decrease.
Heat is likely to appear soon in the southern region (concentrated in the East), the northwest, north, and central regions.
The number of hot days in these areas is likely to be higher than the average for many years. It is expected that El Nino will increase water consumption, and affect people's daily activities and production.
