The message was emphasised at the scientific conference themed The Resilience of High-Tech Agriculture in Binh Duong Province which was organised by the Binh Duong Department of Science and Technology in tandem with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Phu Giao district, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
At the conference, Nguyen Viet Long, director of the Binh Duong Department of Science and Technology, emphasised the role of science and technology in high-tech agriculture in Binh Duong, highlighting achievements in overcoming challenges and developing sustainably.
Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and director of the Rural Development Centre Saemaul Undong, reported the current situation and development orientation of high-tech agriculture in the country and Binh Duong.
At the seminar, Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, director of the World Trade Centre Binh Duong New City, and Nguyen Viet Long, director of the Binh Duong Department of Science and Technology, brought exposure to international trade connection services for science and technology, innovation, and high-tech agriculture.
In addition, Nguyen Quoc Viet, general director of Dau Tieng Rubber Company, talked about building the enterprise's science and technology fund and creating new momentum for business development.

In addition to discussions on high-tech agriculture, Huynh Dinh Thai Linh and Nguyen Viet Long presented a thesis about the influence of international trade connection services for the development of science and technology and innovation and development of high-tech agriculture in Vietnam in 2012-2020.
Businesses have also been participating in coaching and training programmes, participating in local innovation and entrepreneurship competitions as well as consulting chains to promote products to the world.
The vital event marked the development of the application of science and technology in the agricultural field. The conference was deemed a great success as it saw the participation and support of diverse parties. In addition, the World Trade Centre Binh Duong New City was the main organisation and venue for the programme.
According to the latest figures from Binh Duong Industrial Park Authority, the province is currently home to 30 industrial parks (IP) with a total area reaching over 12,000ha.
Binh Duong’s IPs account for a fourth of the total area of industrial parks in the south. The province currently has 50,000 enterprises with up to 1.2 million employees.
