Vietjet announces new managing director

Vietjet Aviation JSC has announced the appointment of Nguyen Thanh Son as the company's managing director, succeeding Dinh Viet Phuong, leading the new age carrier in the next era of development.

Vietjet made the announcement on July 6. Nguyen Thanh Son has been with Vietjet since its establishment in 2007, playing a key role in shaping the airline’s innovative business and marketing strategies, while also contributing to the broader development of Vietnam’s aviation sector.

Son holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Aviation Economics, with over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Representing a new generation of forward-thinking leaders – globally minded, innovative yet strategically grounded –Son's humble and inclusive leadership style is expected to guide Vietjet on a new chapter of green, smart, and sustainable growth, global connectivity, and positive value to passengers and communities across five continents.
