| Sheraton Hanoi Hotel presents its 2025 mooncake collection "The Essence of Autumn" as a true gift of Hanoi, perfect for family, partners, or oneself, capturing the mid-autumn spirit in its most heartfelt and elegant form |
Inspired by the colours, flavours, and atmosphere unique to Hanoi, “Thu Sac Kinh Ky - the Essence of Autumn", pays homage to the capital city’s most charming season, where skies soften into gold, leaves fall gently from tree-lined streets, and nostalgia lingers in every breeze.
The name itself carries poetic meaning: “Sac” represents colour and flavour, while “Kinh Ky”, Hanoi’s ancient name, symbolises the city’s cultural grace and historical grandeur. This year’s packaging blends traditional Vietnamese blue-and-white ceramic motifs with sketches of iconic landmarks, creating a multisensory journey of taste and design.
Thu Sac Kinh Ky is more than a mooncake collection. It is a harmonious fusion of aesthetic, tradition, and craftsmanship for those who cherish Hanoi’s timeless spirit. The collection features five categories of delicacies, including the Lam Thu box of four small cakes in an elegant blue-toned box inspired by traditional ceramics, soft as the breeze by the lake.
The Lam Kinh box of four large cakes echoes the grandeur of ancient Hanoi, while the Trang An box of four mooncakes and premium tea offer a refined afternoon tea experience wrapped in moonlight. The Phung Thanh box of six mini mooncakes is inspired by six cultural landmarks across Hanoi, while the Nguyet Quy VIP box includes four cakes and a bottle of French or Italian red wine. Prices range from VND890,000 ($35) to VND2,299,000 ($92) per box.
“To us, mid-autumn is not just a festive occasion, it is a moment to rekindle cherished memories, to celebrate culture, and to bring people closer. Thu Sac Kinh Ky is a journey connecting past and present, where the classical charm of Hanoi meets the refined spirit of Sheraton Hanoi Hotel. We hope that each mooncake box is not only a gift, but a heartfelt experience for those who receive it,” shared Tiffany Hwang, general manager at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.
Since 2007, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel’s in-house pastry team has proudly upheld the tradition of handcrafted mooncakes. Each cake is a product of dedication, artistry, and Vietnamese culinary passion, carefully refined and passed down through generations of chefs.
