Accordingly, the ministry plans to complete and submit eight draft documents to the government and prime minister, including two proposals on law development; three decrees and three decisions.
Specifically, they are the proposal to amending and supplementing a number of articles in the Law on Science and Technology, and the other on amending and supplementing a number of articles in the Law on Product and Goods Quality.
The three draft decrees cover penalties for administrative violations in industrial property, guidelines on the Law on Technology Transfer, the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Science and Technology.
The draft decisions cover public service units under the ministry; documents and procedures for assessing the quality and value of machinery, equipment, and technology lines of investment projects; and regulations on the inspection and examination of quality measurement standards.
The MoST will continue to review and arrange units under the ministry in line with the provisions of Decree No.28/2023/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organisational structure of the ministry; organise and implement agreements and bilateral cooperation agreements on sci-tech with countries and territories, especially those being strategic and comprehensive partners with Vietnam.
It will also promote cooperation activities based on partners' strengths and Vietnam's needs to promote cooperation in science, technology and innovation associated with the implementation of sustainable development goals.
In the fourth quarter, the MoST will chair and coordinate with units to organise several events, including a sci-tech conference for the south central region and the Central Highlands; sci-tech conference for the southeast region; celebration of the World Standards Day; and much more.
