Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2023 will see hundreds of tech companies showcase their products and solutions in the northern province of Quang Ninh from September 29-30. Many different sci-tech organisations, academies, schools, as well as domestic and international investors are also expected to attend.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Quang Ninh People’s Committee, the event will feature between 200 and 250 booths and is expected to attract around 7,500 on-site visitors, with about 10,000 attending online. The demonstration area will be of interest to educational institutions and high-tech investors, particularly foreign invested enterprises seeking to introduce their technology to Vietnam.

Vietnamese-based firms will have the opportunity to connect with domestic and foreign enterprises about technology transfer, and there will be activities promoting investment cooperation in research and development between Vietnamese and overseas partners.

The technology on display will include innovative textiles, smart footwear, and microchips, along with solutions for green energy, waste material management, and supply chain concerns. In addition, there will be new approaches to wind, solar, and biomass power on display, with booths featuring the latest biomedical and pharmaceutical technologies, and AI applications that can optimise production processes.

There will also be discussions on outstanding issues with a forum on digital and green transformation for sustainable development.

Held since 2011, Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam aims to build a national system of innovation to help put new knowledge and technology into practice. The event aims to connect different parties, including policymakers, to sign cooperation agreements and facilitate the exchange of ideas and technology.
