Launched in 2010 with the goal of improving the livelihood of rural families, Tiep Suc Nha Nong, a part of Vi Ngay Mai Phat Trien (For Tomorrow's Development) programme by Tuoi Tre newspaper, was initiated by GREENFEED and Tuoi Tre. The programme has been providing interest-free loans and husbandry trainings for more than 2,000 farmer’s households in 16 provinces and cities across the country. The programme fund has exceeded VND50 billion ($2.17 million), with 93 per cent of households successfully returning the initial loan.
With benevolent purpose, Tiep Suc Nha Nong not only provides immediate assistance but also offers sustainable poverty-alleviating solutions, stemmed from GREENFEED's expertise in comprehensive farming solutions. The initiative has received tremendous advocacy and support from the local communities, authorities, as well as partners across the country.
In 2020, Tiep Suc Nha Nong will be rolled out in four provinces, including Ben Tre, Binh Dinh, Hung Yen, and Hai Duong. With a total relief fund of VND7 billion ($304,350), Tiep Suc Nha Nong will provide interest-free loans as well as husbandry coaching to recipients during the two years of the funding. Furthermore, students who are children of the programme’s beneficiaries will also be considered for scholarships every year should they achieve good academic results.

On November 10 -11, Tiep Suc Nha Nong presented the first batch of loans to farmers living in An Hiep and An Binh Tay communes, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province. At the ceremony, the programme also awarded valuable scholarships to encourage the learning spirit of 40 academically successful students of Vinh Long province, who are the children of the beneficiaries of Tiep Suc Nha Nong 2018-2020.
Tran Thi Ha (An Binh Tay commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) said, “In our family, there are only me and my son Khoa, who is currently an Automotives major at Dong Khoi Vocational College. I do all kinds of jobs from early morning to late night in the hope that he can continue his study and grow into a decent man. Recently, I started livestock farming, it is a small business but we have to make ends meet. This time, thanks to the support from GREENFEED, I think we could expend the business and have a better future.”
As social responsibility is one of the company’s business cores, GREENFEED is also active in many other initiatives to support local communities. Recently, it has joined hands with its partners and customers across the whole food chain to donate more than VND7 billion for people in the central region who were affected by the recent natural disasters.
With this fund, GREENFEED, together with its customers and partners, pledges to support essential needs and help improve the post-disaster livelihood through activities such as providing healthy food (via G Kitchen products), building flood-proof houses, supporting the livelihoods by providing livestock breeds and feed for farmers, as well as stationaries for children.
