As part of that of push, FECON Corporation and Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) have signed an MoU for a comprehensive strategic partnership to develop key infrastructure.
The MoU, signed on April 10, will strengthen bilateral cooperation in strategic infrastructure fields, while opening a new phase of development between the two sides through optimising shared resources and exploiting business opportunities in the Vietnamese and international markets.
FECON and PowerChina will cooperate in key areas including urban railways, high-speed railways, urban development following the transit-oriented development model, sea reclamation ventures, seaports, and logistics. The two sides will partner in energy infrastructure such as liquefied natural gas, nuclear power, offshore wind power, and large-scale pumped energy in the Vietnamese market and others in the region.
Pham Viet Khoa, chairman of the Board of Directors of FECON Corporation, said, "This deal marks an important step in implementing Vietnam's key national projects, serving the nation's sustainable development goals. Leveraging our strengths in science and technology, personnel, and local understanding, we are committed to accompanying PowerChina in implementing projects effectively within the cooperation framework."
PowerChina is an integrated construction group that provides services related to investment and financing, planning and design, engineering and construction, equipment manufacturing, and operation management for clean and low-carbon infrastructure construction. In the transport sector, PowerChina has constructed railways around the world with a total length exceeding 2000km.
