CP Binh Duong receives TPM award

Following two rounds of evaluation in June and December last year, C.P. Vietnam's (CPV) Binh Duong feed factory was named in last month's TPM Excellent Awards by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) with the award being given to the company on stage at the TPM Awards in Kyoto on March 20.

Several companies from countries around the world, such as France, Italy, China, India, Japan, and Brazil, were also listed as winners of TPM Awards

TPM stands for 'Total Productive Maintenance' - a mindset or a management approach that links the two concepts of maintenance and productivity. The goal of TPM is to maximise equipment performance to improve productivity, as well as increase employees' awareness and job satisfaction.

The CPV Binh Duong factory first applied for TPM recognition in 2013. The factory won the Level 1 Award (Excellence) in 2018 and has now received the Level 2 Award (Consistency) for 2023.

Chaiwut Mekhora, CPV senior vice chairman, and the rest of the leadership team, were honoured to go on stage and receive the prestigious award. CPV Binh Duong is CPV's first factory, and the first in Vietnam, to win this award.

The Binh Duong factory will continue to develop its activities to acheive the Level 3 Award (Special) by maximising performance, minimising production costs, and achieving 'Three Zeroes', which means zero accidents, zero defects, and zero breakdowns.

CPV is deploying the TPM system across its entire 'feed - farm - food' chain.
