“Travel with Muong Thanh - Dream Vacation” contest features emotional paintings by children

The competition is open to children across Vietnam aged 6 to 15. Each participant may submit up to three hand-drawn or digital artworks, creatively depicting memorable, enriching holidays, or experiences exploring fascinating destinations. The contest encourages participants to express their imaginative dreams about holidays, destinations, and the future development of Muong Thanh Hotels.

The organisers reported an increase in both the quantity and quality of submissions this year. Notably, the contest attracted numerous children from remote areas such as Daklak, Kon Tum, and Cao Bang, demonstrating the initiative's growing influence. The number of prizes has also increased, with additional promising talent awards to further motivate participants.

Nguyen Huu Hanh, former deputy director of the General Education Quality Assurance Programme (Ministry of Education and Training) and head of the judging panel, said, "Among the many paintings submitted, the children have all managed to blend traditional elements with modern touches while retaining their innocent and whimsical qualities. Particularly, many paintings convey a high degree of humanity, with content focusing on human emotions towards nature, life, and especially towards the elderly, offering comfort to the elderly and the less fortunate. I was truly moved".

Hanh also said that 80-90 per cent of the artworks were of high quality, making it challenging for the judging panel to select the winners. "It was very difficult to choose the most outstanding paintings because the quality was high. The judging panel had to consider multiple criteria to select the best artworks," he added.

The "Travelling with Muong Thanh - Dream Vacation" art competition is organised annually by Muong Thanh Group, aiming to create a beneficial and inspiring platform for children to ignite their passions and rich imaginations about dream holidays or trips, exploring fascinating lands.

The contest also provides opportunities for children to interact with professional artists and peers who share their passion for art, helping them learn about new destinations, the hospitality industry in general, and the Muong Thanh Hotel system and its people in particular.

The awards ceremony for this year's competition is scheduled to take place on August 24.
