Sun Group crowned at prestigious Asia-Pacific Enterprise Awards 2021

The Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurship 2021 (APEA 2021) event named Sun Group in both the Inspirational Brand and Corporate Excellence categories, at a ceremony that took place online on November 30.

Sun Group has established astounding projects and award-winning architectural structures throughout the country, including world-class entertainment complexes under the name Sun World.

Appreciating the achievements of Sun Group at this year’s award, Enterprise Asia chairman Dr. Fong Chan Onn stated, “We are extremely impressed with the results and meaningful actions Sun Group achieved and implemented during the past two years. The health crisis has been a wake-up call to the world that put businesses to the test with a plethora of challenges.”

However, Chan Onn said, Sun Group has been successful in turning the danger into opportunity in order to adapt. “The group has applied humanitarian policies to support its labour while continuing to accompany the government and community to fight against the pandemic. All such meaningful activities help Sun Group spread its core values to inspire the community. They are worthy of the honour.”

Since 2007, APEA 2021 has recognised entrepreneurial trailblazers within various business industries while honouring remarkable achievements in the four categories of Master Entrepreneur, Fast Enterprise, Inspirational Brand, and Corporate Excellence.

During the recent health crisis, Sun Group was able to provide a stable income for employees, as well as flexible working solutions to offer the best care for their living conditions, while also offering healthcare for all employees and their families. As result, the group maintained high-quality human resources to prepare for the resumption of operations.

Sun Group also took advantage of the social distancing period by focusing on renovating and renewing hotels and Sun World amusement parks across the country. It also invested in digital transformation and standardised the administration system and business operations to improve work efficiency, service quality, and also the client experience.

Also during this period, Sun Group built new products in both tourism and property sectors with such trendy leisure tourism projects as Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, as well as wellness, second-home, and island retreat properties.

Although the group did not gain impressive growth over the past two years, its strong corporate responsibility has been recognised with more prestigious domestic and international awards, including being named in the top 10 Excellent Brands at the Vietnam Strong Brand 2020-2021 by Vietnam Economic magazine; the Best Workplace in Asia 2021; and the Responsive Human Capital Initiative award at the Vietnam HR Awards 2020.
