On October 29, Generali Vietnam collaborated with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) and Haiphong Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to organise a Sinh Con, Sinh Cha (Born Children, Born Parents) workshop, benefiting more than 500 parents, children, teachers, and staff of Hoa Cuc Kindergarten in the northern port city of Haiphong.

The Sinh Con, Sinh Cha workshop in Haiphong facilitated discussions on three practical and topical parenting topics, including making meals enjoyable and nutritious for children, managing parenting anger to avoid hurting children, and making plans to spend quality time with children.

The topics discussed at the workshop were within the programme’s three main content pillars of intelligence, behaviour, and health of children from newborns to six years old.

At the event, the Italian-backed life insurer handed 250 gift sets to all participating children, 250 programme booklets to their parents and caregivers, as well as 30 special in-cash and in-kind gift sets to 30 local families in extreme hardship.

To date, Sinh Con, Sinh Cha has benefited about 6,100 parents, children, kindergarten teachers, and staff via local workshops in provinces and cities across the country.

Tina Nguyen, Generali Vietnam CEO said, "Sinh Con, Sinh Cha has been focusing on promoting parenting knowledge and skills in northern provinces in the second half of 2022 and we are pleased to arrive in Haiphong this time.”

“Such high level of enthusiasm and engagement from hundreds of families is valuable motivation for us to continue to work alongside the NFVC to bring this programme to many more parents across the country, thereby realising our ambition of becoming a Lifetime Partner to our customers as well as the community at large – not only through our business endeavours but also our efforts to contribute to public welfare and the community’s sustainable development,” she said.

Director of the NFVC Hoang Van Tien remarked, “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha is very unique as it has had a sustainable and positive impact on the children – our country’s future generation. The NFVC is very grateful to have been collaborating with Generali Vietnam, who shares our mutual passion and dedication towards the protection, care, education, and comprehensive development of children.”

On this occasion, Generali Vietnam also committed to contributing VND100,000 ($4.30) to Sinh Con, Sinh Cha's operating fund for every successfully issued policy of VITA – Cho Con, Generali’s recently launched education-focused investment-linked insurance product.
