Workshop encourages digital evolution among domestic SMEs |
The event seeks to announce action to assist SMEs in Vietnam towards effective digital transformation and access to financing. In addition, it will introduce to participants the necessary solutions and instruments for successful digitalisation.
The workshop is hosted by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) through the LinkSME project.
Vice Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong and USAID/Vietnam Governance and Economic Growth Office director Gregory Leon will co-chair the event, which will be attended by more than 100 representatives from ministries, government agencies, representatives of provinces, business associations, businesses, and the media. It will also be streamed online to hundreds of businesses across the country.
Digital transformation activities encompass digitalising business and data management to optimise operation, production, monitoring, and auditing. It is a step toward transforming the entire business models to accommodate new added-values.
In 2020, the hosts of the event launched a programme on supporting enterprises’ digital transformation to 2025 and are implementing practical support activities to accelerate digital transformation and access to finance.
Since last year, more than 400,000 SMEs accessed digital transformation information and guidance materials, and 600 SMEs identified their level of readiness for the transition. LinkSME also supported the MPI’s initiative to promote useful tools via two online portals.
The hybrid workshop will take place at 8am in the International Convention Centre in the capital’s Ba Dinh district.
