The conference was attended by nearly 400 delegates, consisting of leaders and members of central ministries, agencies, Vietnamese diplomatic missions in Thailand, the Thai Business Association in Vietnam, commercial banks, enterprises, and the Thai ambassador to Vietnam, among others.
Vo Van Hung, Chairman of Quang Tri People's Committee said, "The conference is an important opportunity for Quang Tri to promote its potential to delegates, especially to our Thai partners to open up cooperation and investment opportunities in our province."
The conference was also an opportunity for Quang Tri People's Committee members to listen to the concerns of the delegates, especially the business community and investors, in the hope of improving mechanisms to entice investment for the sustainable socioeconomic development of the locality for the future.
The conference centred around four main activities. There was the exhibition of culture, tourism, investment promotion, and the typical products from Vietnam and Thailand; a visit to a number of economic, industrial, and cultural facilities in the province; networking between potential investment partners from Quang Tri and Thailand with the highlight being a discussion entitled 'Meet Thailand'. The talk covered two key topics on renewable energy's role in high-tech agriculture, and supply chain integration in the region.

Nikorndej Balankura, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam said, "Thailand is currently the ninth-largest foreign investor in Vietnam, and we will continue to promote cooperation, especially in renewable energy, clean agriculture, ans retail. Thai businesses are high-quality investors, who are good at doing business and show responsibilty for society and the community. I hope that today's event will contribute to the tradition of cooperation and good development between our two countries."
At the panel discussion on renewable energy in high-tech agriculture, Wichan Chumnanya, vice president of C.P. Vietnam (CPV), presented the company’s aim of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050.
