Held on Sunday November 17, the annual charity run has been a regular fixture on the corporate calendar and this year’s event held extra significance for Manulife.

Over the years, Manulife has been a powerful force in building stronger, healthier communities in Vietnam, while also pioneering new platforms such as the free-to-use ManulifeMOVE.
ManulifeMOVE is an opportunity to engage the community in more meaningful and rewarding ways by educating them about health, incentivising healthy behaviour, and providing tools to help them stay engaged.
Terry Fox Run is organised annually by the consulate general of Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CanCham) with the support of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations.
The event has stepped into its 23rd year in Vietnam and 39th year internationally in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox to raise money for cancer research.
This year the Vietnam run attracted more than 22,000 participants and raised over VND2.85 billion ($123,900) in the country, said the organisers in a recent press release.
Throughout Terry Fox Run 2019, Manulife aims to promote the message of health and wellness to everyone, especially the millennials, encouraging them to improve their physical well-being. Moreover, the company wants to promote a better community in Vietnam.
