Manulife Vietnam always advocates dynamic and healthy living
This year is the eighteenth year Canadian-owned life insurer Manulife Vietnam participated in this charity run.

This is the 18th consecutive year that Manulife Vietnam participated in this charity run.

Over the years, the Canadian-owned life insurer has always had the greatest number of runners in Terry Fox Run, which is part of Manulife’s spirit of charity and healthy active lifestyle.

Manulife Vietnam has also been the title sponsor of Danang International Marathon for the three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018; as well as partner with other charity runs such as Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, and Hanoi Run for Children, among others.

Manulife Vietnam CEO Kim Fleming and his son join the Terry Fox Run 2018

According to Manulife Vietnam CEO Kim Fleming, the company is so proud to join forces with the Terry Fox Run in Vietnam over the past 18 years.

“By engaging our staff and agency in such meaningful event, we aim for promoting the healthy active lifestyle, as well as making practical contribution to the community and vulnerable lives,” he said.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual 5-km non-competitive charity event to raise money for cancer research.

The event was founded in 1981 in Canada in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope in 1980.

The entire sum raised in Vietnam will be used for establishing the pediatric oncology centre and research at the University of Medicine and Pharmacology (UMP) of Ho Chi Minh City.

Last year, Terry Fox Run Vietnam was once again the biggest international Terry Fox Run in the world, attracting more than 22,000 participants and raising over VND2.6 billion ($112,000).

The event, which is no longer just a Canadian tradition, is organised in more than 30 countries, and in thousands of locations across Canada and the US.
