The Vietnamese–Japanese brand opened its sixth hotel on July 17. Haiphong, Vietnam’s third-largest city and a key maritime gateway, offers an ideal setting for Wink’s bold, tech-driven, and sustainable approach to hospitality in the north.

According to Peter Ryder, executive chairman, Indochina Capital and director for Indochina Kajima,"Haiphong is also home to our Core5 factory villages and premium industrial assets. With plans to upgrade Cat Bi International Airport to handle 13 million passengers annually by 2030, and continued investment in deepwater port infrastructure to become a major international transshipment hub, we’re confident the city will keep advancing. These developments present strong opportunities for both Wink Hotels and Core5 to support Haiphong in attracting greater interest from local and foreign investors."
According to Haiphong Statistics Office, more than 2.55 million visitors used the city’s accommodation and travel services in the first four months of this year, marking an 11 per cent on-year increase. Revenue from accommodation alone rose by 16.5 per cent, reaching VND810 billion ($32.4 million).
Industrial production in the city increased by over 15 per cent for the same period, the highest growth rate recorded between 2022 and 2025.
"This data underlines Haiphong’s connection to the global supply chain and global tourism map and reinforces our decision to invest in the city with Wink Hotel Haiphong," said Keisuke Koshijima, executive vice president, Kajima Corporation.
Meanwhile, Michael Piro, co-CEO of Indochina Capital and CEO of Wink Hotels, said, "We're thrilled to be part of the story of Haiphong. By reimagining modern travel and integrating smart technology, we’re giving guests more control, flexibility, and seamless access to the services they need."
"As with the first five hotels in the brand, sustainability runs through Wink Hotel Haiphong’s DNA, with LEED Version 4 certification. The elimination of single-use plastics, smart LED lighting, recycled furniture, and organic personal care products from Vietnamese brands, along with scientific waste management, all prove that at Wink, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword – it’s how the hotels are truly designed and operated," he added.
Located in the heart of Haiphong city, Wink Hotel Haiphong offers 225 hotel rooms and 77 serviced apartments that redefine affordable luxury, all with floor-to-ceiling windows enabling the most stunning views over Haiphong City.
Wink Hotels is the product of Indochina Kajima, a joint venture between Indochina Capital Corporation and Kajima Corporation, one of the largest Japanese general contractors and overseas real estate developers.
Before Wink Hotel Haiphong, five Wink Hotels had been put into operation, including Wink Hotel Saigon Centre, Wink Hotel Danang Centre, Wink Hotel Danang Riverside, Wink Hotel Tuy Hoa Beach, and Wink Hotel Can Tho.
