Ahead of the 31st Southeast Asian Games, the event on March 20 recognised Vietnam’s elite athletes, para-athletes, and coaches. The voting was conducted by journalists nationwide and 18 awards were given to honour excellent performances last year.
“We are proud to assist with the organisation of the event to recognise outstanding Vietnamese athletes and coaches,” said Vu Van Thang, general manager of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia. “As a strong supporter of Vietnamese athletes and the national football teams, we have been very happy to witness the great results in recent years. We would like to congratulate everyone who received an award. The individuals and teams have not only taken Vietnamese sports to new heights but have also inspired the nation to adopt more active lifestyles.”
The event also included the Olympic Running Day to encourage people from all corners of the country to do physical exercise and play sports. It is held annually to raise public awareness about the value of exercise in protecting and improving public health.
