Herbalife Vietnam provides nutrition to children in Nghe An |
Herbalife Vietnam has provided the Nghe An Social Activity Centre with funding of over $11,800, which will be used to subsidise nutritious food for 78 children.
Vu Van Thang, general manager at Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia said, “The opening of a new Casa Herbalife Program is another indication of our strong commitment to long-term community support, which is also aligned with Herbalife Nutrition Foundation’s mission to improving lives and providing aid to communities around the world. Through this programme, we will join hands with Nghe An's Social Activity Centre to provide daily nutritious meals to needy children and encourage them to exercise regularly to live healthier lives.”
Le Trung Thuc, director of the Nghe An Social Activity Centre said, “I am very excited that Herbalife Vietnam has confirmed its nutritional support for 78 underprivileged children through the Casa Herbalife Program. This support is very valuable for our children, helping them develop better physically thanks to improved nutrition. We pledge to work closely with Herbalife Vietnam to deploy the program following the set goals of improving lives of the children through better nutrition and healthy, active lifestyles.”

In January, Herbalife Vietnam announced the renewal of grants for four current Casa Herbalife Programs for 2021-2022. The grants include $9,830 for Xa Dan Secondary School (with over 500 pupils), $29,560 for Dong Tam Social Protection Centre (112 children), $19,700 for Huong Duong Orphanage (32 children), and $34,500 for the Women’s Charity Association of Ho Chi Minh City WOCA (152 children).
Doan Le Phong, vice president of the WOCA said, “On behalf of more than 152 children from seven shelters under WOCA, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Herbalife Vietnam for continuing to support the Casa Herbalife Program to help improve the quality of daily meals for the children. As our shelters are facing many difficulties right now due to the impact of the pandemic, the support from Herbalife Vietnam is extremely valuable, helping the children to have nutritious meals to stay healthy and achieve good study results as well."
Huynh Ngoc Anh, director of the Dong Tam Social Protection Centre said, “This year marks the ninth consecutive year that we have received support from Herbalife Vietnam. On behalf of the centre, I would like to thank Herbalife Vietnam for its long-term support for the children here by providing them with delicious and nutritious meals every day. I wish all of Herbalife Vietnam's employees and independent members good health and success. I hope that Herbalife Vietnam will continue to maintain this meaningful programme, helping disadvantaged children have access to good nutrition every day.”
Tu Thi Cam Tho, director of the Huong Duong Orphanage said, “Thanks to the Casa Herbalife Program, all 32 children here are nourished with delicious and nutritious meals every day. Good nutrition helps them develop better and achieve encouraging academic results. One thing about the programme that I am very grateful for is that Herbalife Vietnam's employees and independent members regularly spend time visiting and giving gifts to the children. I would like to thank Herbalife Vietnam and all independent members and employees of Herbalife Vietnam."
Pham Van Hoan, principal of Xa Dan School said, “Since receiving the programme's support, the children's physical and mental health has improved thanks to eating healthier and developing regular exercise habits. Their study results are also better. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the entire board of directors, employees, and independent members of Herbalife Vietnam for their cooperation in bringing about this meaningful programme.”

Launched in 2013, the Casa Herbalife Program has helped about 1,000 needy children with access to healthy nutrition on a daily basis with total grants of over $600,000. In 2019, Herbalife Vietnam also introduced the Star Program to its Casa Herbalife Nutrition centres to help these children have better knowledge of healthy food and build habits of regular exercise.
“The strong support and generous contributions from both our members and employees are key to the continuation and expansion of our Casa Herbalife program, bringing valuable support to needy children. Apart from financial support, these donors are also caregivers who are always willing to spend time visiting, talking, doing exercise, and playing sports with these children to help them grow healthier, both physically and mentally," said Thang.
