These services will cater to vehicles from Xanh SM, Mai Linh, franchise partners, users of the Xanh SM platform, MeKong Xanh’s partners, and VinFast vehicles nationwide. In the initial phase, the venture will convert 39 existing workshops operated by MeKong Xanh.
By the end of 2025, the joint venture plans to expand to 99 workshops, positioning MeKong Xanh SM as one of the largest auto-service networks in Vietnam.
These 99 workshops will also be integrated into VinFast’s existing service network of over 80 workshops, expanding the repair and maintenance footprint to meet the growing demand. Ho Huy, chairman of Mai Linh Group, noted that MeKong Xanh’s extensive experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, combined with GSM’s technological expertise, would create a powerful synergy that benefits both companies.
Nguyen Van Thanh, CEO of GSM Global, highlighted the collaboration’s focus on delivering high-quality products and technical services across the country. "Well-maintained vehicles ensure driver safety and enhance the customer experience," Thanh said.
MeKong Xanh currently serves as the exclusive service provider for Mai Linh’s entire taxi fleet and offers spare parts and maintenance services to other clients.
Since its inception, Xanh SM has encouraged over 40 businesses, including taxi and transport firms, to adopt electric taxis through franchise agreements. Xanh SM and its partners now operate electric vehicles in 55 provinces and cities, advancing their goal of 'greening' Vietnam’s transportation sector.
