On August 9, STADA held the grand opening of its new office in Pearl 5 Building, 5 Le Quy Don, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event saw the participation of Christopher Scholl, deputy consul general of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Marko Walde, chief representative of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, Peter Goldschmidt, STADA CEO, and Andriy Samoylovych, general manager of STADA Pymepharco.
The grand opening served as a testament to STADA Vietnam's strong commitment to improving healthcare in the country and its significant long-term investment in the region. STADA is among the top three German companies that have invested in Vietnam.
"We employ 2,000 dedicated people in Vietnam, which is our most important market in Asia. It will also serve as a hub in the future for supplying surrounding countries," STADA CEO Peter Goldschmidt announced.
STADA Pymepharco has been a reliable and important pillar of the Vietnamese healthcare system for more than 30 years and has strong growth plans for the future. With the grand opening of its new headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, the company will further expand its employee base.
As a key provider of generic prescription drugs for the Vietnamese market, STADA is set to launch a broader range of its consumer healthcare products.
“We will continue to invest and expand our business in Vietnam," Goldschmidt added.
The grand opening also highlights STADA Vietnam's commitment to exporting high-quality products, made in Vietnam, with the prestigious EU-GMP certificate to the global market, fostering growth in the nation's pharmaceutical industry.
Together with its valued partners, including suppliers, distributors, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, STADA has worked tirelessly to maintain a steady supply of medicines, demonstrating its dedication to the wellbeing of the Vietnamese people.
STADA Vetnam's production facility is located in the province of Phu Yen. Several billion tablets are produced each year and there are plans for expansion. Although the site was originally built to just supply the Vietnamese market, the new STADA Vietnam plant has also been approved by European authorities to also supply the EU.
Andriy Samoylovych, general manager of STADA Pymepharco said, "This accomplishment can be attributed to the steadfast dedication and proficiency exhibited by our highly skilled Vietnamese workforce. Concurrently, the grand opening of our new office in Ho Chi Minh City marks a significant milestone, facilitating the expansion and fortification of our workforce.”
In the same vein, Walde stated, "The investment serves as further evidence that Vietnam represents a favourable destination for high-value production within a competitive industry. Additionally, it demonstrates how the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement facilitates and encourages German investment in the country."
