Fire destroys 5 houses, no casualties reported
A great fire broke out at a wood storage warehouse in Le Thanh Tong Street, Hai An district, in the northern city of Haiphong on March 29 destroying it and 4 houses.

| The flame burnt down everything in its path causing great loss of property. |

| Local residents used water and mini fire extinguishers to stamp out the flame but failed. |

| Upon receiving the news, 200 firefighters and 10 fire engines were dispatched to the scene immediately. |

| Hundreds of panic-stricken residents fled the fire. |

| Firefighters are trying to access the scene. |
 |
| The blaze was extinguished in three hours. |

| Local police moved the furniture away from fire. |
 |
| Fire fighters used hoses to spray jets of water on the fire. |

| The blaze has caused huge property damage. |

| No deaths were reported. |

| The fire caused extensive traffic congestion. |

| Fortunately, the flame did not spread to a nearby gas station. |
