Banyan Tree Lang Co celebrates 10 years presenting in Vietnam

More than a decade ago, the founders of Banyan Tree Group came to Central Vietnam, and were captured by the breathtaking natural beauty of Lang Co Bay.

Nestled between the azure waters of the East Sea and the Annamite Range, featuring diverse and favourable natural habitats, Banyan Tree Lang Co is home to a variety of bird species.

Inviting guests to discover the fifteen signature birds while marvelling at the spectacular natural landscape at Banyan Tree Lang Co, the bird watching is a first-of-its-kind resort activity in Vietnam that aims to reconnect guests with mother nature.

The opening of the birds sanctuary

Birds Sanctuary Photo Gallery, a new feature of Banyan Tree Lang Co, is an open bird photo exhibition supported by the local bird photographer Duong Thai Dung.

In future, any bird photographers or visitors with a passion for this type of photography are welcome to contribute their wild bird photos taken during their stays at Banyan Tree Lang Co, in the hope of enhancing public awareness of the environment and biodiversity.

Saffron in Lang Co Bay awarded with ThaiSELECT Signature

Saffron in Lang Co Bay is one of the first Thai restaurants in Vietnam to be awarded the highest ranking in the ThaiSelect programme, a mark of certification granted by the Ministry of Commerce, and the Royal Thai Government to guarantee the authentic Thai taste of Thai restaurants around the world.

Adorned with traditional Thai or contemporary decorations, these restaurants portray an exquisite image or the uniqueness of Thai cuisine, inspiring a sense of pride among diners.

In the celebration of Banyan Tree Lang Co’s 10th anniversary, Taneeya Foocharoen, minister counsellor (Commercial) of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vietnam, was present at the resort to give the ThaiSELECT Signature Award to Chef Sivanart Wiphaphakanan, head chef of Saffron Xuan, and Glen Cook, area general manager of Banyan Tree Lang Co.

In 2023, Banyan Tree celebrates 10 years of exceptional experiences in Central Vietnam, a decade of life-long memories for our guests, sustainable values for the environment and economic benefits to our local communities.

At the group level, Banyan Tree will open at least four new properties in Vietnam with the opening of Angsana Ho Tram and Dhawa Ho Tram on 1 June, followed by Angsana Quan Lan (Halong Bay) and Garrya Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai) in late 2023.

It also has a strong pipeline in the coming years in Vietnam’s most desirable destinations, including Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Mui Dinh, Tu Le, Hoi An and Danang, according to area manager Glen Cook.
