ACCA and Forvis Mazars Vietnam sign MoU

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Forvis Mazars Vietnam signed an MoU in Hanoi on December 3 on fostering a green workforce and advancing sustainable development in Vietnam's accounting, auditing, and finance sectors to support national environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, To Quoc Hung, country manager at ACCA Vietnam, said, "This partnership will focus on enhancing talent quality and advancing green transformation in the private sector. To address the critical shortage of green-skilled professionals, ACCA’s globally recognised Professional Diploma in Sustainability aims to equip businesses with essential knowledge for sustainable practices."

Aligned with the 'Commitment to Careers for Community' initiative, both organisations are committed to supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by enhancing vocational training in accounting, auditing, and finance, ensuring inclusivity and broader access.

"ACCA and Forvis Mazars Vietnam aim to drive meaningful progress in sustainable business practices while uplifting the country's professional and community development standards," added Hung.

Following the signing of the partnership with ACCA, Forvis Mazars Vietnam envisions a transformative collaboration to drive community value and professional development.

"Both parties aim to co-host workshops and events on critical financial topics such as ESG and International Financial Reporting Standards, fostering greater awareness and expertise across the accounting and finance sectors," said Nguyen Hai Minh, chairman at Forvis Mazars Vietnam.

"Forvis Mazars is committed to leveraging initiatives like the ACCA Job Fast Track to nurture top talent as it aligns with our goal of building a robust and competitive workforce capable of addressing emerging industry challenges. This collaboration, reviewed annually, underscores a shared commitment to impactful, sustainable development, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving market demands and global best practices," added Minh.
