Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, CEO of WHA Group, received the official documents in Hanoi, marking a significant milestone in WHA’s development journey in Vietnam. These projects are poised to meet the rising demand from global manufacturers across key industries.
The ceremony was graced by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, alongside WHA Group’s senior leadership.
WHA Group was granted an investment registration certificate for WHA Smart Technology Industrial Zone 2 – Thanh Hoa, Phase 1.
Thanh Hoa province, with a population of 3.7 million, is rapidly emerging as a high-potential investment hub. It boasts a young, skilled labour force, and increasingly robust infrastructure, creating conditions for high-tech industries such as electronics, electrical appliances, automotive, logistics, and supporting sectors.
WHA Smart Technology Industrial Zone 2 – Thanh Hoa marks WHA’s second industrial development in the province. Located in Thieu Hoa district, the project will span 300 hectares. Phase 1 will cover 175 ha, with construction expected to commence by the end of 2025. Its strategic proximity to Thanh Hoa city and the North-South Expressway enhances its appeal to manufacturers.
The investment registration certificate was handed over to Jareeporn Jarukornsakul by Do Minh Tuan, chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa.

In addition, WHA Industrial Development PLC signed an MoU) with Hung Yen province.
Hung Yen province has become a prime destination for foreign direct investment, owing to its strategic location near Hanoi and the Haiphong deep-sea port cluster, along with a well-established industrial base.
The MoU paves the way for collaboration between WHA Group and Hung Yen for the development of a new 250-hectare industrial zone. The agreement facilitates the necessary groundwork and licensing procedures for the proposed investment.
The MoU was signed by Jareeporn Jarukornsaku and Tran Quoc Van, chairman of Hung Yen People’s Committee.
With these developments, WHA’s industrial footprint in Vietnam will expand to 4,590 ha (inclusive of projects with investment registration certificate and MoUs/investment agreements), spanning across five key provinces.
