To meet the ever-increasing demand from customers in Vietnam and across Asia-Pacific, Westlake Corporation is investing in building a new factory in Westlake Compounds Vietnam's existing location.
The new plant will reflect best-in-class standards, improved working conditions, and high automation.
This will allows Westlake Compounds Vietnam to focus on expanding its products portfolio, application and customer base, which drives top-line growth; increasing its product selling points; expanding and strengthening its distribution network; and expanding the new export market to overseas for PVC Compounds products.

Building a new plant at the Westlake Compounds Vietnam site shows Westlake Corporation's commitment to supporting the site's future success.
Last week, Westlake Compounds Vietnam celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of the new plant and celebrated the employees at the site, who have “earned” the project due to their commitment to safety and delivering outstanding results.
“Westlake Global Compounds Vietnam team has demonstrated the passion to supply quality products and providing value to our customers,” said Renee Havrilla, vice president of Westlake Global Compounds Vietnam, in her address at the groundbreaking ceremony. “It is our vision for Westlake Compounds Vietnam to be a major compounder in the Asia Pacific region.”
In phase one, the new plant will bring additional capacity, improve overall work flow, refurbish the site's warehouse and add new extension and loading docks while upgrading operations to high international standards in the areas of safety, automation, with continuous improvement in working conditions and environmental impact.
Following the move, Westlake Compounds Vietnam will be able to supply high-quality compounds while maintaining its commitment to sustainability without interruption to its current business during the project.

In regards to sustainability, Westlake Compounds Vietnam will improve the site's water management with closed-loop chillers and an improved drainage system.
Energy management will also improve with new equipment temperature control in industrial areas with forced ventilation and solar panels.

The project will also feature enhanced architecture and bring a green space to the area. Westlake Compounds Vietnam will upgrade the current plant in phase two of the project, increasing healthcare capacity and other improvements.
Building a new plant at Westlake Compounds Vietnam's existing location represents Westlake Corporation's confidence in Vietnam and the South East Asia market, and the company's continuous commitment to investing in this market.
