VNVC and Nestlé launch drive for smarter nutrition

The partnership between reputable brands in nutrition care and vaccination is expected to deliver medical and healthcare solutions catered to children and adults. In particular, the solutions will improve the physical and mental development of children, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life and the health of the community.

The partnership represents a tangible step towards realising the key goals of the government’s National Strategy on Nutrition and the National Strategy for Protection, Care, and Improvement of the People's Health for the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2025. The strategies emphasise the development of Vietnamese people's stature, physical strength, and intelligence, enhancing proactive disease prevention and reducing inequality in access to healthcare.

Additionally, the two sides will offer Vietnamese consumers more choices of genuine, high-quality medical nutritional milk amid growing concerns over fake milk and substandard food uncovered by authorities.

Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly launch a series of activities to raise public awareness about child nutrition at VNVC vaccination centres nationwide with the participation of leading doctors and experts in vaccination and nutrition from both Vietnam and abroad. Additionally, the public will have easier access to high-quality, genuine nutritional products from Nestlé, such as Nutren Junior medical nutritional food for children aged one to 10, and Boost Optimum dietary supplements for adults. These products will be available at the newly launched VNVC SHOP convenience booths at vaccination centres across the country, as well as through online sales channels.

Amid growing concerns over counterfeit and low-quality products in the market, Nestlé Health Science’s formula and nutritional milk lines are 100 per cent imported from Switzerland, ensuring clear origin and premium quality. These specialised products are tailored to different age groups and physical conditions – from children to the elderly and those with underlying health issues – meeting the community’s increasingly stringent nutritional needs.

Zubin Trikha, head of specialty nutrition at Nestlé Health Science Vietnam, said, "The company will introduce a nutrition and health consultation tool to help families make informed dietary choices. This tool is especially focused on children, promoting healthy growth and development during their early years."

"Through this partnership, we hope to work with VNVC to create positive changes in the people’s public awareness and nutritional behaviour, particularly among young children. We believe that combining scientific nutrition with proactive disease prevention is key to enabling future generations to thrive," Trikha added.

Bach Thi Chinh, medical director of the VNVC, said, "Beyond providing safe, high-quality vaccination services to millions of Vietnamese families each year, VNVC continuously strives to find comprehensive solutions to improve quality of life, deliver safe, internationally standardised healthcare, and enhance access to healthcare."

VNVC has also signed strategic cooperation agreements with several major nutrition companies and corporations in Vietnam and the world. These partnerships have brought practical value to the community by offering a wide range of high-quality nutritional products, porridge, and baby food through the VNVC SHOP convenience booths. These efforts aim to enhance health and immunity, particularly for patients and individuals requiring special care and treatment support.
