Tourism relaunches with new products to welcome Christmas and New Year

Many resorts and hotels are organising Christmas and New Year programmes

This year’s festival season is very special for the resort industry as tourism is just resuming after nearly two years of being “frozen over” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, all-in-one product bundles which integrate many experiences in one trip, offering travellers a safe and action-packed vacation.

Tourist destinations, especially those in the pilot programme to welcome international visitors holding vaccine passports, are developing more attractive products that are more suitable to the tastes of international tourists.

To offer perfect travel experiences for international tourists, Quang Ninh has established a safe tourism corridor, focusing on expanding tourism space, improving service quality, and diversifying products to improve visitor experience.

Pham Ngoc Thuy, director of Quang Ninh Tourism Department, said that overnight cruise trips to Halong Bay will be restarted, the province is planning to organise 50 cultural festival events in the coming time, service quality at each destination will be improved as well as many attractive promotions to attract tourists will be launched.

“Green tourism products such as detox tours will help visitors refresh themselves, participate in meditation and yoga classes at some famous resorts in Quang Ninh," he said.

For example, Sun World Halong Complex, Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh resort, and Premier Village Halong Bay are ready to receive international tourists with entertainment and high-class resort and healthcare services.

Hoi An of Quang Nam province is also planning to carry out activities to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year to stimulate tourism. A series of activities will welcome Christmas such as street art shows, film screenings, and street markets. These will be integrated with traditional cultural elements such as Hoi An fair market and Hoi An’s Specialties with the theme of Traditional Hoi An Food from December 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022. The most special event will be the Hoi An Gala Dinner - New Year’s Eve 2022 on December 31 to 1 am on January 1, 2022.

“Visitors are welcome to our Christmas and New Year celebrations but will have to strictly comply with 5K principles. International guests arriving through chartered flights will not be able to participate in these activities, they will only be able to visit the places registered in their tours,” Nguyen Van Son, chairman of Hoi An People’s Committee said.

In Phu Quoc, resorts and entertainment complexes such as Phu Quoc United, Vinpearl Phu Quoc, and Vinpearl Safari have also opened their doors to visitors. Besides green tourism products, Phu Quoc also develops self-contained golf tourism products to bring international tourists more high-class experiences at this new tourist paradise.
