Roche Vietnam hosts children’s walk

On May 20, Roche Vietnam held its annual Children’s Walk fundraising event in Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City, showing its contribution to community health.

This year's theme was Celebrating Life and the event coincided with Roche Global’s 125-year anniversary celebrations. It attracted more than 190 employees nationwide to participate in the walk, marking the 15^th consecutive year of the Roche Children’s Walk in Vietnam.

Employees participating in Roche Children’s Walk contributed funds to support children in need globally and in Vietnam through direct donations or flea market activities. Employee donations were also company matched and used to support children around the globe through the legally independent charity Re&Act.

At this meaningful event, Dr. Qadeer Raza, general manager of Roche Vietnam said, “This fundraising event also exemplifies Roche's mission to improve people's lives and our commitment to long-term sustainable development in Vietnam and throughout the world.”

Lennor Carrillo, general director of Roche Pharma Vietnam added, “5km is the distance that many children in Malawi or in some remote areas in Vietnam have to walk to go to school every day. By completing this meaningful walk together, we would like to play our part in supporting underprivileged children on their journey toward a better education and a brighter future”.
