Online Lunar New Market opens on January 26 |
Organising the festival under the online model will both meet the demand on calligraphy works of people and comply with the regulation on controlling and preventing the pandemic.
The festival will last until February 6 and is available on duxuanonline.com. Requests for calligraphy works can be submitted from 9am on Feb 1 – the first day of the Lunar New Year – and the calligraphers will interact with people on Zoom.
The festival is a part of the Travelling in Spring programme, which is also organised online to adapt to the new normal.
“This year, with the participation of BNI - the world's leading business networking and referral organisation – requests for calligraphy works can be made across the country, as well as from many other places. The participation of BNI is also a highlight of this year’s programme,” said Tang Thi Thu Ha, general director of LongLink Vietnam.
“Usually, when people think about Ong Do – the calligraphers – we often look back on traditional things. However, this year we want to mix the traditions with modern elements to offer a new experience,” said calligrapher Nguyen Duc Vong.
To meet the demand for calligraphy works, Hanoians may also go directly to Angel Studio at 106 Nguyen Chi Thanh in Dong Da to receive calligraphic letters directly from the masters.
