The ceremony honouring the top 10 in the services industry voted by customers in 2021 took place in Hanoi on December 18. The annual Trustworthy Vietnam Programme, coordinated by a specialised site subordinate to Vietnam Economic Times-VnEconomy, aims to highlight products and services that are the consumers' top choices.

This time, the event revolves around “Weathering the storm: Innovate to Adapt" in the glory of businesses that have contributed their best to customers while overcoming the difficulties of COVID-19.

Fourth-time winner in service sector

Rising above thousands of nominations during a 10-month survey, McDonald’s Vietnam made it into the Top 10 Most Trustworthy Companies in the services industry in 2021. This is the fourth successive year McDonald’s Vietnam has obtained the title.

Years after joining the Vietnamese market, McDonald’s has left a lasting impression on Vietnamese cuisine.

To be voted into the Top 10 list, companies must meet diverse criteria for creative, innovative services and products that can avail of opportunities during the challenging time, provide customers with the best experience, and win their hearts.

Moreover, brands and businesses have swiftly restructured or found new ways to adapt to post-pandemic time.

Years after joining the Vietnamese market, McDonald’s has left a lasting impression on Vietnamese cuisine. The company has been building customer trust through a locally-relevant menu, high product quality, and in-store experience with 4.0 services. McDonald's has become a familiar brand to Vietnamese consumers, especially the youth, thanks to uniquely localised dishes such as “crispy” fried chicken, Pho Burger, Nuiz, Congee, and more.

McDonald's becomes the favourite destination

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the world has undergone major obstacles. In Vietnam, the fourth wave of COVID-19 has brought mounting hardships to people and businesses alike. McDonald’s has adapted to this tough situation by deploying novel purchaser-driven services.

During the spread of the outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City, besides joining with local authorities to support front-line forces, McDonald’s Vietnam has taken part in meaningful programmes such as actively implementing pandemic prevention measures for employees and customers, assuring safe environment for customers.

Opening new stores

McDonald's has opened a new store at AEON Mall Binh Tan in Binh Tri Dong B ward, Binh Tan district on December 10; and another store at LOTTE Mart Go Vap in ward 10, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City.

To celebrate these grand openings, McDonald's has launched many promotional programmes like buy one get one free BIGMAC (its world-famous iconic burger with two layers of beef and cheese) and buy one get one free crispy fried chicken which won the Trust & Use Award of the Economic Times three years in a row.

Customers are offered a free Vietnamese iced milk coffee McCafe (a local signature) when they check-in at the store, along with many other gifts including double Happy Meal toys for kids.

In the near future, a McDonald's representative said that the brand would make a foray into the central region in early 2022, and the first central region store would be launched in Nha Trang.

Celebrating New Year 2022, McDonald's will bring back its Tet special Prosperity Burger combo, featuring a Prosperity Burger made from beef, eggs, cheese, teriyaki sauce, fragrant sesame bread crust served with Lucky Potatoes and a McFizz Strawberry Soda.

The meal would be offered in two sizes (small and medium) all made entirely from imported Australian beef, striving to bring “prosperity” to customers in the new normal.
