Phuc Khang in top 10 sustainable enterprises in Vietnam in 2021

On December 9, in a ceremony to announce and award sustainable businesses in Vietnam and Vietnam Corporate sustainability forum 2021 (VCSF) hosted by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Phuc Khang Corporation was ranked in Vietnam’s top 10 sustainable businesses. This is a significant improvement marking the impressive rise of Phuc Khang Corporation on the journey of sustainable development.

The awards ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, chairman of the National Committee on Sustainable Development and Competition Competence Improvement, together with 150 representatives of authorities, organisations and leading businesses in Vietnam. The ceremony also attracted a lot of attention from diplomatic groups, international organisations, national business associations and communities, experts, as well as press and online media.

With an orientation towards a sustainable green developer undertaking corporate social responsibilities, Phuc Khang Corporation has not only made determined efforts to build green products certified by global standards, ensuring residents’ health and economic benefits in harmony with the ecosystem but also volunteered to accompany the government in the fight against the pandemic, achieving the dual goals safely.

Proper orientation and constant efforts helped Phuc Khang Corporation pass strict rounds of evaluation, meeting 100 criteria in the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI), officially ranked in Vietnam’s top 10 sustainable businesses. These criteria have been derived from international-standard assembly and Vietnam’s current regulations about management index, communities, environment, labour, and results of sustainable development.

Phuc Khang Corporation is now a business ecosystem including many companies such as construction, education, commerce, consuming goods, with the core being real estate. Evidentially, at the end of November, high-class apartments at Diamond Lotus Riverside by Phuc Khang Corporation were awarded the LOTUS Provisional Certification by Vietnam Green Building Council. In addition to a proper strategy for business and development which brings a lot of value to residents and pioneers an authentic green lifestyle reflecting the philosophy “Creativity for man’s sake”, Phuc Khang Corporation showed great devotion to business consolidation by professionally planning restructuring and digital transformation, taking good care of staff.

Guidance on looking after health and spirit for staff during social distancing has been regularly provided by the corporation, such as maintaining full-pay work-from-home policy, giving clean vegetables, vaccination, organising online training sessions and talk shows in order to connect, encourage, and uphold positive energy for staff. Last but not least, there have been policies and timely activities to take care of staff in quarantine or lockdown areas.

Specifically, to fight against the serious impact of COVID-19 in 2021, Phuc Khang Corporation has left an indelible imprint on accompanying the government, organisations, frontline medical forces, and people to achieve the dual-goal safely, both fighting the pandemic and adapting flexibly to develop the economy. In the fourth outbreak of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, Phuc Khang Corporation has launched the campaign “The green heart of Giftivism” – a heart-to-heart appeal for meaningful humanistic CSR activities towards the community.

Tens of billions of VND has been given as donation or sponsorship to frontline hospitals; thousands of gifts of necessities have been delivered to people in hardships due to COVID-19, tens of thousands of nutritious meals, oxygen ATM, medicine packages were donated to F0 patients in time by Phuc Khang Corporation.

Thanks to the spirit “Giving compassionately” and “Giving responsibly”, on the 17th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Associations (HUBA) on October 13, Phuc Khang Corporation received a certificate of recognition signed by Chairman of the city People’s Committee for businesses who contribute towards the fight against the pandemic and the dual goals with the city.

In 2020, Phuc Khang Corporation was among the top 100 sustainable businesses, but one year later, the green building developer has undergone a comprehensive transformation to be one of top 10 leaders of sustainability in Vietnam in 2021.
