The bank, which has the largest network of over 1,200 branches in Vietnam and a long standing reputation to support education, has donated VND45 billion (nearly $2m) to Vietnam’s first international school, which was recently ranked as one of the top schools in Asia Pacific.

Lienvietpostbank supports scholarships in 11 different provinces across Vietnam, and in this latest philanthropic commitment, they join forces with Vietnam’s first and only non-profit international school to support both its Scholarship Programme and investment in programmes supporting education more broadly.
At the official signing ceremony on Wednesday May 10, UNIS Hanoi Head of School, Jane McGee said, “As educators, we wake up each day with both the joy and responsibility of knowing that the young lives we help to shape here at UNIS Hanoi will be the ones, living not only our Mission, but also that of the United Nations and our shared commitment to a fairer world for all.
“Through the vision of Chairman Nguyen Duc Thuy and the shared commitment of the Lienvietpostbank Board, our dreams as educators now have the philanthropic funds to become reality.”

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the representative of Lienvietpostbank said he appreciated the quality and prestige of education at UNIS Hanoi. The school has demonstrated a powerful commitment to education in Vietnam for decades with both significant investment in professional learning for local teachers, and providing 100 per cent scholarships for talented students from disadvantaged families to attend the school from Grades 7 until graduation.
Fifteen years since its establishment, Lienvietpostbank has achieved important milestones on its journey to becoming the leading retail bank in Vietnam.
In 2023 - 2028, following the clear strategic direction of the Board of Directors, Lienvietpostbank will enter a phase of outstanding and stronger development.
The signing ceremony between UNIS Hanoi and Lienvietpostbank affirms that funding for education and training is a key focus in implementing the bank’s motto, "Social integration in business."
This near $2-million dollar donation will create an endowment fund to ensure the support for both the UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme and other education projects at the school in perpetuity.
