FPT IS opens its Global Managed Services Park

FPT IS, part of the larger tech giant FPT Corporation, focuses on developing capacity and technology in IT-managed services to meet the needs of multinational corporations.

The Global Managed Services Park, based in Hanoi, aims to provide services for 100 international customers, host more than 1,000 employees, and reach a revenue of $30 million by 2026.

This new facility helps FPT IS move closer to its goal of global integration and becoming a provider of cross-border information security and system administration services for multinational corporations.

With a current area of 600 square metres, the modern, international-standard centre can be expanded up to 1,800sq.m as needed.

Tran Dang Hoa, chairman of FPT said, “The Global Managed Services Park opens up opportunities for FPT IS in IT-managed services. We are committed to building an international-standard system in Vietnam, establishing the first system-management network for businesses in all time zones around the world.”

“This park will be a stepping stone for FPT IS to continue to build and protect IT systems of businesses sustainably, sequentially, and securely,” Hoa added.

According to a Gartner forecast from last September, global spending on IT services is set to grow by about 7.5-10 per cent annually and reach about $1.5 trillion next year. Particularly, with information security, the spending growth rate is about 11.3 per cent per year, and it could reach $90 billion by 2024.

According to Le Hoang Duong, director of the Cybersecurity Centre at FPT IS, "The IT-managed services market has huge potential for development. With support from FPT Corporation’s other subsidiaries, our key markets over the next three years are Japan, South Korea, and Singapore."

Over the last 30 years, FPT IS has successfully deployed and operated many essential national systems featuring specific characteristics, providing them for ministries and departments dealing with customs, taxes, and securities, as well as diverse sectors such as real estate, finance, and manufacturing.

FPT IS' capacity and experience are ready to expand beyond Vietnam as it seeks to build and operate systems for large-scale businesses and multinational corporations. The Global Managed Services Park is a stepping stone on the company's journey to global expansion.

At present, FPT IS provides a range of safety and information security services, which fully meet the network security monitoring and supervision needs of its clients. The systems and services on offer include 24/7 information security monitoring and troubleshooting, security vulnerability assessments, and PCI DSS and ISO 27001 compliance consulting.
