Everon at the awarding ceremony on November 26 |
Addressing the awarding ceremony on November 26, Lee Jae Eun, CEO of Everpia JSC, said that his company has always made strong efforts to create a good working environment and ensure social welfare for its staff, as well as supply quality products to protect customers’ health.
“We have begun to apply several solutions to protect the environment such as using recycled fibres and environmentally-friendly materials in packaging, thus contributing to sustainable development,” he told VIR.
The awards ceremony for Vietnam's leading sustainable businesses is organised annually by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
In 2019, the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) continues to be used as a scale to assess the sustainability of businesses. The CSI 2019 indicator is derived from 98 indicators in three areas including society, economy, and environment. The indicators were also upgraded and restructured into more scientifically grounded groups to better align with international practices and domestic law, and to be more practical and applicable on a wider scope.
Everpia is a leader in the bedding and padding market. This year, Everpia JSC has expanded its business in Vietnam by opening a new business: curtains and blinds to meet the local demand for high-quality and affordable products.
“We are making preparations to become a famous brand in home products and fashion in Vietnam in the long term. A part of this journey is the application of sustainable and environmentally-friendly production solutions. We are also focusing on research and development activities to supply healthy products not only for Vietnamese customers but also for worldwide exports,” he added.
2019 witnessed significant changes at Everpia JSC. Besides the expansion with the new business line, this firm has also won the approval to become a sole manufacturer and distributor of the world’s largest spring mattress brand Kingkoil – the only spring mattress that wins the accreditation of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA).
Everpia now operates three factories in Vietnam, including one factory in Hanoi, one in the northern province of Hung Yen, and one in the southern province of Dong Nai. The distribution system expands continuously from 154 agents in 2008 to around 400 in all Vietnam.
